Solrun, from the Faroe Islands and now living in Denmark, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

I had made a wood plate with 24/26/48 nails formed as a circle for each student.
Every kid got up to three colours of cotton yarn and we’re asked to make patterns with the yarn.

The students loved this activity. They were so exited to use their creativity and all the colours.

The only thing that was hard was making the wood with all the nails. But I have saved the plates so we can use this activity again next year.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Making math visual and teaching kids about math in art or art in math.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Make sure to keep some routines. Split the day into a couple of activities, mainly art/craft and reading and the make sure to go outside for fresh air.
