Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

Hi, Iโ€™m Emma and Iโ€™ve been a nanny to many for 13 years & now Iโ€™m a full time mummy to 2 children (B3.5&G14m).

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Being in Lockdown has been a total rollercoaster. So many UPโ€™s, we have loved making new memories and spending time as a family. With that comes the downs, feeling lonely, bored and finding entertainment for the children while keeping our sanity.

Iโ€™m trying to enjoy this time, after all itโ€™s not often I have nothing else to do but focus on the children. Usually our busy daily lives take over.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

ROUTINE!! Routine is key during these times, children love a routine (so do I). We try to get out for a walk for part of the day and then we spend the other half doing an activity and playing at home/in the garden.

Remaining positive and focused during these tough times is so important.
