I made Homemade Pop Tarts!

It’s been a long time since we have had a store bought pop tart, so this time we decided to make some using flour tortillas and homemade berry chia jam, they turned out amazing!!

Ingredients:
(Makes 6 pop tarts)

12 medium rectangles
1/2 cup homemade berry chia jam
2 tbps melted vegan butter or regular.

For the glaze:
1/2 cup coconut condensed milk
1/2 tbsp pink pitaya powder

Instructions:
Place the 6 rectangles on a baking sheet, add about 1 tbsp of the berry jam and top with the leftover rectangles.
With a fork make pressure along the edges in order to seal the pop tart.
Brush them with some vegan butter and poke a couple of holes on the top part.
Bake at 350°F for about 8-10 minutes or until golden.
Let cool down, and meanwhile heat the coconut condensed milk in the microwave or stove and mix in the pink pitaya powder.
Once it is all combined, let cool down for a few minutes before pouring over the pop tarts and enjoy.
