Kalista, from SF Bay Area, made an apple zig zag run. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

A is for Apple! A little fun cardboard play that I’ve been working on. It was very much trial and error so it took a few tries to make it run properly. The apple is entirely made out of cardboard, the tracker is a wine cork with bottle caps on each end and I added a line of beans inside for added weight.

We spoke about the shape of an apple and the colours on it. This run promotes hand-eye coordination skills and the bell at the end teaches cause and effect.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

My daughter turned 2 recently. We are inspired by the Montessori approach and practice it as much as we can. We love DIY activities, baking, cooking and outdoor fun. @ourbeautifulbreathoflife
