What did you do?

Having seen lots of awesome ideas for exploring planets and space, I thought we could have a go at something of our own.

We filled balloons with water, and used them to paint planets. We did this on our tuff tray (to contain the mess).

The boys thought the water filled balloons were hilarious to use as stamps with the way they were so wobbly. They had so much fun making different size prints with the balloons and chatting about the colours of planets.

The outcome as it does resemble more of a black hole picture after all the colour mixing!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Don’t put pressure on yourself. The children are happy just being with you so don’t worry if you don’t have activities for every single day.

What toys would you recommend to other parents?

Lots of cars and dinosaurs especially if you have boys.
