Lisa and Dan, from England, built something that I think we all probably dreamed of as a kid. I would actually still like one now.  Lets take a look…

What did you do?

We built a tree fort around our weeping willow. As we won’t be going on holiday this year we invested some of our holiday funds into a garden activity for the summer and decided to buy the materials for the project. End to end took around 6 days including the digging of the holes for the posts and staining all the wood work.

We decided instead of spending funds on pre-built stairs and fireman pole, we built our own stairs using lengths of decking and a fireman’s pole out of a scaffold pole and fixings.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Sinking the trampoline to make it ground level.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

My husband is managing to work from home while children are home schooled. The elder children are self sufficient with schooling and I am helping the 8 year old with school work and the 1 year old loves the constant playmates.

Has this website and community helped you?

I have enjoyed seeing the HWK Facebook page watching other families posts.
