Kayla, from Tennessee in the USA, sent in this great car colour sort activity. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

This super fun and simple activity can be done so many different ways but we have a car obsession so we used our race cars for some fun color sorting. I got out different color construction paper out and laid it in the floor while the boys sorted their cars by color.

Have the boys busy work. They loved going through all their cars so it kept their interest for a while.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Attitude. Attitude is everything. Our kids sense when we are stressed and scared. We can’t necessarily change the situation but we can change our attitude and how we respond. Our kids need us more than ever.
Also sensory. Sensory activities are a hit with keeping my kids happy and entertained. There so many options and ideas. That’s there’s always something fun to plan. They don’t need anything fancy. I promise they will be happy with simplicity.

What are your family’s favourite board game(s)/card game(s)?

We love hungry hippo and candy land.

What are your children’s favourite books?

Monster trucks by Jon Cena and Be brave little penguin.

What toys would you recommend to other parents?

We love our matchbox cars. So many things to do with them along with imagination play.

Has this website and community helped you?

Love seeing everyone’s creative ideas to keel kids busy. So inspiring seeing so many parents wanting what’s best for their kids.
