What did you do?

We’ve been feeling a bit “sluggish” lately so we decided to make this snail! ⁣

We cut a snail shape out of cardboard and gave it some googly eyes and a smile. Then we applied glue, sprinkled on rice and added drops of food colouring. ⁣
⁣Once our snail had dried, my three year old gave it a name and carried it around telling everyone it was her pet!

This activity was very open-ended and hands on. It was a wonderful sensory experience for my three year old.

Do you have any other projects planned?

We will be doing lots of summer crafts. Learning about the oceans is our current favourite theme!

Crafting doesn’t have to be complicated. Use materials you already have in your recycling bin or in your pantry!
