Buffy, from Melbourne, Australia, made a cardboard treasure chest with her children. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

The kids and I made this treasure chest out of an old cardboard box. I love repurposing things!

We cut out four sides (two longer sides and two shorter ones) and one base to make our new box shape and used a hot glue gun to stick it all together. The curved roof we made from 2 semi circle sides plus a longer strip of card curved over the top and hot glued in place.

We then cut a slot for a keyhole and made a silver key out of foil.

To make bracelets we used empty toilet paper rolls and chenille sticks/pipe cleaners with beads on them.

Our favourite part was decorating it all using gemstone stickers!

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Crazy! But we are keeping busy with at least one craft activity a day. It’s been challenging but fun!
