Fatima, from Washington DC, shares her recipe for Chocolate Banana Brownies. Let’s take a look…

Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup banana, mashed (3-4 ripe bananas)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips

Method

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a baking pan and set aside.

Beat butter for about a minutes with the mixer. Add sugars, baking powder and salt. Beat until combined. Add eggs and banana and beat well. Add flour and mix by hand. Stir in chocolate chips. Out it in brownie pan , pop it in the oven for an hour or longer.

Sometimes with banana bread, it may take longer than an hour to bake, I always stand by and watch.
