Amy, from Bristol, sent in this great shadow bat idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

I previously made some butterfly wings for my daughter using the same method. After a week she of playing with them she decided she wanted to be a bat. She had also a one point mentioned being a dragon so I tried to make them look like they could pass for either! I just used an old TV box for the cardboard and some sheets of coloured acetate.

This wings turned out longer than the previous ones so I had to go back and reinforce the back of the wings to make them stronger after the first try on. I just attached strips of cardboard in the gaps at the back to do this.

Do you have any other projects planned?

I always have lots on my to do list to make but hopefully I dont need cardboard next time as I have definitely ran out of it now!
