Sharon, from Essex, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Over two days we created a coral reef theatre, complete with sea creatures!
Our little one took part in every step of the creation.
Painting the creatures with different mark making tools.
Decorating them with jewels and buttons to make fish scales.
At first we were just making a little coral reef scene, but we decided to make a mini theatre to showcase it.
The theatre was just a small cardboard box and we turned our sea creatures into puppets!
We’ve had hours of fun playing with this and the background scene is interchangeable, so we will have plenty more opportunity to create different performances!

We didn’t really have any set plans for this creation. We just allowed it to flow and added ideas along the way.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

We’re used to being home a lot anyway, even before lockdown. We’ve found homeschooling during this difficult time a really fun!
