Chris, from Scotland, has given his lad’s car a make-over. Nice wheels Jack!

Let’s find out how Chris did it…

Instructions:

  1. Remove all screws and remove all individual parts on the car.
  2. Power wash all parts and removed stickers.
  3. Spray with rustoleum plastic primer and leave 24 hours to dry.
  4. Spray with the base coat and again 24 hours dry time.
  5. Masking tape designs and spray with the second colour (24-hour dry time).
  6. Remove the masking tape and rebuild the car!

Do you have any tips to help others doing something similar?

Be careful removing screws (depending on the age of the cosy coupe) as some were rusted and needed to be replaced. Also, if taking the wheel off they are difficult to reattach, so it may be better leaving them attached and masking tape over them. I ordered replacement stickers for the plate and eyes as well.

What’s your next project idea?

We’ve got a kids playhouse that needs a respray, but we need to wait for a bit more sunshine.

Tell us a bit about yourself…

My name is Chris (31). I live in Scotland. I have 3 boys Kyle (10) Callum (8) and Jack (9 months)

Loving being with the kids. I’m actually still working but on limited jobs so getting extra time with the boys is amazing!

If you have 3 boys like me it’s easy. Football! They love it and the weather’s been excellent so loads of practice out the back and a daily walk down the canal.

It’s good to inspire people to try new things and keep their minds active.
