Colleen made these fantastic character-themed cress head flower pots. Let’s take more of a look…

What did you make?

Oompa Loompa cress head and minion flower pots.

Tell us how you did it…

For both projects, I used google images to use for the outline of the characters.

We painted the yellow and orange parts first, drew on the faces, and finished the painting.

I used acrylic paint with both projects.

Tell us all a little about yourself…

My name is Colleen. I have 2 children: one is 3 in June and my youngest is only 5 months. I am loving this blessing of extra time with them at home, but normally being very active with them, my son often asks why I won’t take him anywhere which is hard.

We have made lots of homemade books and arts and crafts, drawings, gardening, etc. Anything to help them thrive during this time. We live in a small town in Amersham

We have used this time also to potty train and have a lovely nighttime routine, which we will carry on when this is over.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

My only tip would be to enjoy this precious time. We will soon be back to our busy lives again. I want my children to remember this as a fun family time.

Anything else to tell us?

I have just recently joined the Housebound with Kids community and I will share it with others. It’s a beautiful idea and I love to see all of the projects and fun being had.
