Miss V, from the United Kingdom, shares her fruit kebabs snack-tivity with us. Let’s read on…

What did you do?

Using various fruits (or alternative yummy treats!), children can create repeating patterns to create colourful and delicious kebabs. They can take part in the food preparation process, learn about healthy eating as well as food hygiene! Chop foods carefully and place them on skewers in patterns or according to size to practice simple maths skills.

This activity covers learning in many different subjects! Science, maths and more! It’s also fun for any age – with a yummy treat at the end!

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I’m an experienced UK Primary School teacher trying to share some wisdom and fun with parents and children to encourage learning at home, as well as in school! I offer tips and tricks – as well as learning resources to use with little ones at home.
