Tell us a bit about yourself…

We are a family of four, living in Colchester, Essex. Our boys are 7 and 3(nearly 4). My husband works as a train driver for Greater Anglia. I work as a newborn photographer and bounty representative but am currently furloughed due to lockdown. I have always had a passion for photography which only heightened once my boys were born. In 2017 I took a photography course at college and have been following on ever since, leading me to find my dream job last year.

😊

I love to document every occasion, milestone and adventure. Making memories for us as a family, is something I feel very strongly about.
Lockdown: I’ve found lockdown to be a complete rollercoaster of emotions. The first couple of weeks was a tough adjustment. We are a very sociable family so not seeing friends and family everyday was hard. As time went on I felt we were getting the hang of it and adjusting to this new way of life. Home schooling was improving and the weekly games nights with friends and family on houseparty were something to look forward to.

Do you have any tips for others?

We have celebrated several Birthdays during lockdown which has been hard but also enlightening. We have had lots of video messages to watch and laugh at, games nights arranged and virtual dinner parties

😊

We have kept busy and have settled into this much smoother than I could have ever hoped. Technology and some imagination is a must during this time. I spend time each week coming up with plans and projects for upcoming week as I am a born organiser and have to keep my brain busy!

Allowing some time just for you is important too, whether it’s exercise, a bubble bath or some meditation. As some areas of lockdown begin to ease, I’m looking at the light at the end of the tunnel and looking forward to the future.

😊

Modern technology has been a godsend throughout lockdown for us as a family. I love seeing and sharing ideas with other families to help us all through this time.
