Lynsey, from England, made this great Gingerbread Salt Dough Family keepsake with her family. Let’s take a look at what they did…

What did you do?

Salt dough gingerbread men made to frame for the kitchen. ‘Baking Memories since…’

Instructions:

  1. Used 1 cup of flour
  2. 1/2 cup of salt and enough water to make a dough
  3. Baked in the oven on the lowest temperature for 4 hours, turning halfway.

I’d use acrylic paints next time, but ordinary children’s paint gives it a rustic quality!

Do you have any other projects planned?

Finishing a mammoth scrapbook!

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

My name’s Lynsey and I’m from England. Mummy to a little boy.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

I feel very blessed, so much extra time with my son is amazing despite the terrible circumstances.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Try to relax! This time won’t happen again. Don’t worry about the home ed, just share the love and keep yourselves going mentally. Do family projects and enjoy each other.
