Hannah-Leigh, from Newcastle, sent in this great glitter bottle experiment. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

We did a science experiment:

Fill an empty bottle 3/4 the way full of water.
(Doesn’t have to be a big bottle- that’s just all I had)
Few drops of washing up liquid.
Next add as much glitter as you want.
Then shake. (With the lid on obviously haha).

I love that it’s so simple but effective. You can use anything you have in your house not just Big bottles. You could use jars, smaller bottles for example.

Do you have any other projects planned?

We are always doing new projects. We are big fans of imaginary play, using what we have in the house and getting creative.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

My name is Hannah-leigh, I’m a single mum of two beautiful children ages 4 and 2 and we are from Newcastle.

What are your children’s favourite books?

Reading is one of favourite things to do. I centre a lot of activities around the books we read that week. My children love to read and I actually love to write. One of their favourite bedtime stories is one I actually wrote called ‘Nathaniel the brave’.
