Clare, from Lancashire, sent in this great Gruffalo crumble idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Over the weekend, we went to a pick your own farm and gathered lots of black currants so we decided that we would make a crumble with them… of course it had to then be Gruffalo Crumble! I set up our Gruffalo story sack that I had created a while ago and we set to work!

I used a super simple crumble recipe from BBC good food – it only had about 4 ingredients in! We added some apples to our currants, mixed the topping and then popped it in the oven!

It was so delicious we even had seconds!

April loves having a go at the baking and she was so eager to get her fingers in to mix the butter in the flour!
It was lovely to retell the story as we baked today!
