Marion, from Jersey, sent in this great Dangermouse themed craft idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

My son is a fanatic of Dangermouse, he plays the game, he watches the TV show and we go and look for Post Boxes, since being in lockdown and living on a small island we would go out everyday to find new ones, every one he found was like he’d never found one before.
I cut out the shape of the letter box opening with a Stanley knife and I turned these bits into dominoes and used them as a learning game for adding numbers.

The toilet rolls were perfect And strong enough but I had to ensure that when I was cutting them I didn’t cut too close to the joins or this would unravel them.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I am a single mum to my gorgeous 4 year old little boy! I am also a full time student nurse.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

To begin with I thought how can stay at home mums do this but we have made so many amazing memories and this time has been so very precious.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Be kind to yourself, if your child has an hour on a tablet or an hour in front of the tv that is ok! If they are quiet and happy they are ok!
