Holly, from Kent, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Draw out some playbird heads on a piece of card ready for your little one to print the bodies.

Next, cut a small apple in half and dip it into red paint.

Afterwards, print the red paint/apples down onto the card, adding the bodies.

Once dry, get your little one to add dots using black marker pen.

You will need to think about the size of the apple you’re using as I drew some of the ladybird’s heads too close together!

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Although it was daunting at first, I have learnt to enjoy it. I’m trying to find the positives in these strange times!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

When you can’t get outside, use what you have indoors. You don’t have to buy lots of expensive toys. The recycling bin is my new best friend! 😉

Has this website and community helped you?

I think it’s a nice idea to get inspiration from others and to help those who are looking for ideas to try at home.
