How did you do it?

  • Get different colour card (different colour for each person)
  • Draw Around Your Hands on the colour you each chose.
  • Cut the card around your hand marking (best that a grownup does that!)
  • Get white paper for the background
  • Get PVA glue to glue the middle of the hand cut-out to the paper (starting with the biggest hand first). Then next size hand down, and so on
  • You can write your names on the hands anywhere. We did it on our thumbs.
  • Leave it to dry
  • Once that’s done, put it in a frame. Then you and the kids will be able to look at it for years to come to remember this time.

What’s Your Next Project?

We’re not sure yet. My Daughter said she would like to make her own dream catcher, so we might try that next.

Tell us a bit about yourself…

My Name Is Jade Sutton, I Have 4 Children: Reagen-Dean (8), Harper-Louise (7), Brogen-Dean (4) And Stormi-Dean (5 months). I was born in Halifax and so were all of my children.

How are you finding being housebound?

Being housebound with the kids is getting harder every day as we are running out of ideas to do.

Any tips to help people when they are housebound with kids?

Just keep doing what you are doing. Each child is different. You (the parent) know how to entertain your child. So far, I think we are all doing a fab job under the circumstances.

The Housebound With Kids community has really helped us to come up with ideas. As well, we are all loving looking at what other families are doing, as we are all in this hard time together.
It is an amazing group to come up with. It is helping a lot of Mummies and Daddies out there!
