Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in the UK and is regarded as a British cultural icon. Make a model at home and talk and learn about its history.

With thanks to Diana who sent in this great make your own Stonehenge model idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

We made our own Stonehenge.

We used small pebbles, blu tack, a piece of cardboard, and green paint.

We painted the cardboard green, and then we chose similar shape and size pebbles to put together.

Then add blu tack to stick it on the cardboard. The pebbles are set in a circle as Stonehenge is.

There are many books about Stonehenge, here is one about The Secrets of Stonehenge.

Do you have any other projects planned?

We are going to make different monuments from all over the world.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I’m Diana. I am 35 and I am from Mexico. I have a nearly 4 years old British-Mexican boy named George. We are currently living in Manchester.

How are you finding being housebound with kids so far?

I LOVE IT. I enjoy having time to spend with my son, teach him different skills and things before he goes to school. @georges_mummy

Any tips to help people when they are housebound with kids?

Be patient and no matter what you are doing a great job!
