Louise, from Leicester, sent in this great mixing station idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

I put out jugs of coloured water, I used food colouring for ours. For younger kids avoid glass bottles. Use recycled containers and plastic cups or bowls. I put out a variety of spoons and pouring items for mixing! I set it up in my tuff tray and put out some pipets.
Great for fine motor skills, creativity, imagination and colour mixing skills!

Allowing them to decide how to play with this in their own way. My 4 year old said she has made “poison”.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Something using chia seeds.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

The book with no pictures.

What toys would you recommend to other parents?

Our chalkboard and whiteboard easel is getting lots of use now too.
