Niamh, from Lancashire, shows her nature name art craft. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

When you’re out for a walk, find some nice sticks and flowers (most kids pick these anyway!) (but be careful which ones you use as some are poisonous).

When you get home all you need is some paper/card and pva glue!

Break your sticks up and create your children’s names using these;
You can use leaves/flowers to make some sides of the letter or stick these on top for decoration!

Easy, simple and effective!

Flatter sticks are easier to stick rather than bumpy ones! Definitely use pva glue as a glue stick won’t stick them down properly (the glue also dries clear!)

Do you have any other projects planned?

I don’t plan them before the day we do them, I often think of them when we’re out and collecting new sticks etc or an idea will come to my head with recycling or bits we have at home!

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

My name is Niamh.  I have two girls; Bonnie (5 next month) and Margot (2).  I am from the UK
@Blogging_through_madness

How are you finding being housebound so far?

I’m used to it now! I’m enjoying finding fun and easy activities to do and make with them that they can both get involved with. I’ve also been sharing on my Instagram but this is a recent favourite!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Don’t be hard on yourself if you’ve not been the ‘perfect parent’ today, no one is! Everyone is in the same boat and every parent is perfectly imperfect; so long as your kids are fed, happy and healthy you’re doing a fab job!
Be happy with all the family time you have together now and make the most of days in front of the tv and the simple things you took for granted before.

Has this website and community helped you?

I love seeing all the other fun activities that are shared! Will definitely be trying!
