Michelle, from London, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

A simple idea using items in the home to make a pretty sun catcher.

Firstly we cut the middle out of the paper plate and applied one sheet of sticky back plastic to it (sticky side facing inwards). Then we added some flowers , but you can use so many things such as leaves, glitter etc)

Then lastly we added a second layer of the sticky plastic to the top of it to seal the flowers inside!

It was a bit fiddly and smaller flowers would have worked better

Colourful followers really stood out

How are you finding being housebound so far?

It was tough in the beginning, especially when not allowed out as much but now the weather is nicer it’s been slightly easier!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Patience and gin! In all serious ness I lowered my standards massively and tried to remember those who were unwell etc who would give anything to be at home with their children.

Has this website and community helped you?
