Kristina, from Middlesex in the United Kingdom, made this vibrant rainbow wreath out of pom-poms and wood. A great way to brighten up your front door. Let’s see more…

What you need:

  • 3-5mm plywood/wood or cardboard
  • Mixed colour, assorted sizes poms (Crayola do these, available at The Range)
  • Copydex strong adhesive for crafts and fabrics

Instructions:

  1. Need a sensible adult to cut a rainbow shape out of the plywood, remember to add the cloud shape at the base if desired. I made 2 different sizes, but you can go larger or smaller.
  2. Drill a hole in the top part of the rainbow curve for hanging.
  3. Start dabbing the unseen side of the poms with the Copydex, stick down firmly, then repeat this until you have covered your rainbow arch with the poms, you can either do a rainbow in the normal style,(have your colours ready)or for an alternative fun rainbow, mix the colours up.

Any tips for others trying this?

Make sure you leave this to dry thoroughly before hanging.

I’m Kristina. Along with my husband Chris, we have one daughter, Maria (3 years old) and our beloved bulldog, William. We live in Pinner, Middlesex, UK.

How are you finding being housebound with kids so far?

We are absolutely loving the quality time we are spending together, and it’s been great seeing my daughter grow into a little girl from a toddler during this time. Our daily walk has been a Godsend.

Any tips to help people when they are housebound with kids?

If you are able to get out for that one walk a day, try to do so. It does wear them out! Otherwise, we have been doing lots of baking, painting, drawings and puzzles together.

Any final thoughts?

Am looking forward to seeing all the great ideas and tips, what everyone else has been up to on Housebound for kids, as I have only just joined the group, and will be inviting my friends and family to join too.
