Molly, from Norfolk, invites you to join the Sunset Club…

What did you do?

We got our kids ready and took them to the beach just before sunset. We had a great time in the water, playing on the sand and eating hot donuts and ice cream while watching the sun set on the sea. The weather was beautiful and really made for an incredible night of memories.

It was all perfect. The water was warm, the weather was hot and the kids enjoyed an amazing night. We also went camping afterwards in my dads garden which the kids loved too! I would recommended everyone do this, it was truly magical.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Our next project is using epoxy resin to make fossils from dead bugs (can you tell I’m a boy mum?) and necklaces with flowers for family members.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

How are you finding being housebound so far?

I have loved having the children at home and taking this opportunity to make memories and teach them things they wouldn’t learn at school. There’s been stressful times, but I have really enjoyed being so involved with their education during this pandemic.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

There’s always something to do. Shadows puppets, paper airplanes, fort building. The thing I’ve learnt during this time is that you can do so much without spending loads of money!

Has this website and community helped you?

I’ve found some great ideas on here which I will be doing with my children. It’s a great community and full of great tips and ideas to keep busy.
