What did you do?

Spread letters on the ground. Then ask your child to swat the sounds and say what it is. Or you could shout out a sound and they need to swat it.
You could use the same game for numbers too.

It was a really fun activity. You might want to blu-tac the letters to the floor so they don’t fly away.

Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a Mum of two. A three year old and a 7 month old. I love setting up play activities for my kids. I’m a primary school teacher and teach in the UK and I have a BA Early Childhood Education.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

It’s been great. Mostly a very positive experience, being able to have quality family time together.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Try and have a bit of ‘me’ time. Even if it means putting the tele on so you can get a cup of tea!
