Vinita, from Berkshire, uk, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

We made bracelets using a kitchen roll tube, glue gun (you could also use string and PVA glue) and aluminium foil. We first cut the kitchen roll tube in to a bracelet shape, then made patterns on it using a glue gun. We then covered it with aluminium foil and taped it if necessary. Using acrylic paint pens, we then coloured in the patterns.

The kids loved this activity.

Do you have any other projects planned?

How are you finding being housebound so far?

It’s been really enjoyable and we’ve spent quality time together doing lots of craft projects and messy play

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Using recyclables is a really fun way to let kids explore their creative and it’s so fun too. I never imagined we could use kitchen/toilet roll tubes in so many ways.

Has this website and community helped you?

There are so many fun ideas on there and I’m looking forward to trying many of them out.
