Heena, from Mumbai, India, sent in this her pizza game… lets take a slice… I mean look…

Things you need:

1. 2 paper plates (same size)
2. Markers
3. Scissor

Method:

1. You need to make equal slices of pizza with a black marker in both the plates. You choose the number of slices. Here I have made 8 slices.
2. Now you need to make the pizza toppings on each slice. You can draw the vegetables or paste pictures of it. You can even draw shapes, patterns, numbers, alphabets or just colour it. Make sure to draw the same thing on the second plate too and colour it.
3. Cut the slices if only one paper plate.

That’s it! Now ask your child to match the slices.

My son has never eaten pizza but knew what it was. He even knows his vegetables well so he was able to match the slices.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Currently I’m doing a series of activities for each Alphabet and have finished till Q.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Being housebound with my child is really different than how it was when he was going to school. Now since the Pandemic arose I’m learning so much about him and seeing him change everyday.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

My only tip for parents housebound with kids would be to have patience. I know it could get very overwhelming sometimes but it’s okay to feel that way and also that you as a parent are doing a fantastic job. Parenting is not easy and there are bo guides to it too. We all learn through trial and error and that’s what is unique about each parent.

Has this website and community helped you?
