Alison, from Padiham, sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

We already had a reading corner but it was very plain and simple, we wanted to make it more cosy and inviting for our son. He loves dinosaurs so we decided to incorporate those into the theme.

I bought some camouflage netting as a back drop and some artificial leaves and vines. Then on separate paper i drew dinosaurs and glued them onto the wall.

Do you have any other projects planned?

I’m already thinking of adding more dinosaurs to the wall, there’s plenty of space to go at.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I’m Alison and i live in Padiham lancashire. My husband Lee and I have Ezra whos two years old.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

My husband has worked through lockdown with being a key worker so its been myself and Ezra alot of the time. We’ve had ups and downs but weve all kept each other going, ive enjoyed finding things to keep Ezra amused. It certainly helps with seeing other people’s ideas.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

enjoy spending time with the kids, its time we wouldn’t normally get. It is hard at times for us and for them for everyone.

Has being part of our community helped you?

Its great for ideas.
