Rosa, from Wing, Buckinghamshire. U.K., sent in this great idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

My boy was literally climbing the walls! The cost of a climbing frame was just too much for my liking. So after a brain wave and finding 2 identical pallets and a smaller one to go on top. Scraps of wood for sides I made this in 2 days.

Alot of sanding made the pallets safe and splinter free.

To make rainbow paint I used regular art acylic paints with left over Cupinal white paint to make it weatherproof. I used too much white at first so just add a smidge to create the pastel rainbow. Hoping it keep it waterproof. You could varnish it to make sure it lasts.

Was originally suppose to be a simple triangle with no top but found it difficult screw them together, so both my hubby and I came up with great ideas together and ended up making a den underneath with window . Now thinking of making a fortress with balcony 😏

Do you have any other projects planned?

Making natural safe slime, which I saw on YouTube

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

I am a 43 mum with 2 kids, a 4 and half year old cheeky boy and a 3 year old girly girl.

We live a lovely village in South of England. Wishing now I got a cat instead haha.

How are you finding being housebound so far?

It’s a love hate/relationship. Some days I’m glad I can stay home and look after and see my kids growing up. Hate it as it’s never ending household chores and constantly trying to find things to keep my kids active and educated.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Look online for ideas.

Don’t beat yourself up if kids are playing up….like us they are human and have bad days too. (My mum’s advice)

Has being part of our community helped you?

Just discovered it and will definitely be sharing this wonderful group.
