Gayathri, from India and living in Denver USA, shows us how to make rose syrup. Let’s take a look…

What did you do?

This homemade simple rose syrup is as easy as any other. You’ll need just three ingredients and about 30 minutes to spare. It stores well for a few weeks in the refrigerator, so you’ll have plenty of time to experiment with it in your favorite drink recipes.

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/4 -1/2 tsp Rose essence (Depending on how strong you want the syrup to be) As the essence is very strong, it is always better to add 1/4 tsp first and add extra if And only required.
Pink food color
Water melon (to garnish)

Add the water and sugar in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Once it is completely cooled, just add the essence, pink food color and you are good to go.

To serve this, add the required amount of this concentrate and add the chilled milk and enjoy. We Just added water melon chunks to give an extra crunch while sipping it and its completely optional.

This is a fun recipe to try with your little ones to beat the summer heat.
It is very simple and doesn’t require much of your time.
It could be used in your tea, lemonade or champagne.
