Vidhi, from India and living in Hong Kong, sent in this super shape tracing idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Tracing with paint and cotton swab is a very fun and effective way of pre writing skills for preschoolers. It helps is motor controlling which is very important when kids start writing.

Instructions:
1. Draw different shapes on the construction paper.
2. Give different colours of paints and cotton swabs to the children and let them trace it on the shape made.

Shapes with straight lines worked really nice compared to circle and oval.

Do you have any other projects planned?

Planning an activity which will help my child recognise numbers and alphabets.
