Clare, from Lancashire, sent in this simple sink play idea. Let’s take a look…

What did you do?

This activity is really simple and easy to set up – it’s just coloured water in a sink!

I filled the sink with warm water, and added a pink crayola bath drop to make it a bit more inviting!

Then I added cups and pipettes around the edge of the sink as I knew that these would get April to dive straight in!

Once she had explored the cups and started to figure out how the pipettes worked, I decided I would add another level of play, so I created some blue water using the crayola bath drops. April could then squirt the blue water into the pink to turn it purple! 💖💜💙

I got the crayola bath drops and the pipettes from Amazon, the cups were from April’s bath toy collection!

She had great fun and it was really easy and simple set up, a win for April and Mummy! ❤❤

Do you have any other projects planned?

Next time, I’m going to try and add a different texture to our sink play, perhaps some foam or jelly/slime!

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Being in lockdown has been a rollercoaster, we’ve had up days and down days, but I will be forever grateful to the coronavirus for this extra time I’ve been able to spend with April and my husband as a family unit!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Don’t be too hard on yourself, and don’t try and do too much! Keep play simple, and don’t try to set up something extravagant everyday!
