Yvonne and family, from North Lanarkshire, made this cosy teepee tent. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

We made a teepee tent!

We used:

  • old bedsheets
  • cable ties
  • sticky Velcro
  • bamboo sticks.

Instructions:

  1. We attached the 4 sticks at the top with cable tie and positioned the legs.
  2. After this, we cut the bed sheets and attached around the frame using sticky Velcro
  3. We then used things to brighten it up from around the house such as fairy lights, blankets & cushions.

We are trying to make the most of lockdown and my little girl who is 7 said this was the best day of lockdown so far! So simple, cheap and she has had so much enjoyment!

What have you got planned next, if anything?

Our next activity is going to be a lockdown rainbow frame we saw online – made from sticks we collect on our walk.

Housebound with kids have given us lots of tips and ideas to prevent boredom! We will continue to use it even after lockdown.

Tell us a bit about yourself…

We are a family of 3 from North Lanarkshire and feel we can’t change the world right now so we just need to make the most of it and create as many family memories as we can.
