Helen, from East Riding in the UK, and family have been making some art out of nature. Let’s take a look…

What did you do?

We made this twig art…

Method:

  1. Collection of various-shaped twigs.
  2. Frame made from wooden board and painted. Cut to the desired size.
  3. Cut twigs to fit inside framed area.
  4. Drilled holes into the frame, placed twigs and secured with glue gun.

Tell us a bit about yourself…

Helen from the uk, east riding. Myself and husband having been going on daily walks with our 6 year son in our local woods. We have been collecting lots of fallen twigs and creating art to keep us busy. The piece of art represents our many walks in the woods at this difficult time. We plan to add small  white  lights to it.

We have also made the very popular twig hearts too and various art n crafts during this time as attached photos.

Do you have any tips for other parents?~

I have found doing lots of arts and crafts very therapeutic,  relaxing and keeping us busy during this time.
