Ayesha, from the UK, shows us how to create a beautiful painted butterfly. Let’s flutter on over and take a look at it…

What did you do?

It is a super easy activity. I took a household sponge and wrapped an elastic band through the middle.

Gave my little one a few paints, she then placed it directly to the sponge and started printing.

It was such a quick and fun activity. And the butterflies came out beautifully. With a black marker, I added the antenna and the body!

Do you have any other projects planned?

Just going with the flow!

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Some good days and some not very good days. Finding the balance and routine whilst everyone is home sometimes difficult to manage. But on the plus note I have really enjoyed spending time together as family.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

To go with the flow. And do what’s best for you and your family. When things get difficult, take a few minutes to just breathe. Remember to make time for yourself every day even if it is 5 minutes to do the things you want
