Kendra, from Southwestern Ontario in Canada, sent in this great hair cut craft. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

Using an old cardboard box, cut out face like shapes then add facial features with marker.

Next take a hole punch an punch desired amount of holes along the top of cardboard face (hair line).

Add string holes using a slip knot to secure. After use replace hair and store for another day!

Tips:
Use tape to keep it in place on a table when trying activity with new scissor users.

This is a great activity is great for engaging new scissor users while they practice their cutting skills. It is also a fun activity for children who have good cutting skills and are looking for a creative outlet. I also love that this activity was created from recycled materials from around the house.
