Helen, from North Wales, sent in this ssssuper idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you make?

Snakes! We had a little arts and craft session in this tuff tray. Super simple, shredded paper, a pair of old tights, cut into 2, sticky eyes, 2 pipe cleaners and some round coloured stickers!

We worked together to stuff the shredded paper into the tights and then I tied the end. The children stuck on the eyes and dot stickers independently, practicing their fine motor skills. and then they glued the pipe cleaner tongue with the glue gun with my help!

I think that the finished products look fantastic! Both children played with them for ages, and I think they look super cute! Don’t you?

The stickers did come off the back of the snakes so I got the glue gun out and glued them down again! The children needed help, so it wasn’t an independent activity, it was one we did together!

Do you have any other projects planned?

How are you finding being housebound so far?

I am enjoying it! I work full time so it is nice to spend more time with them- even though they do drive me insane at times!

Do you have any tips for other parents?

I try to think of some key activities to do the following day the night before and try to do any prep then to save fudging around during the day.
