Jasmine, from England, sent in this great rice sensory cake idea. Let’s take a look at it…

What did you do?

A simple invitation to play using things you already have in your store cupboard.

You will need:
• Rice
• Muffin/yorkshire pudding tray
• Scoops/spoons
• pom poms (optional extra)
And away they go!

It’s a really good idea to have a selection of scoops or spoons that vary in size.

Do you have any other projects planned?

I enjoy creating lots of activities and invitations to play for my children based on their interests.

Tell the Housebound With Kids community a bit about yourself…

My name is Jasmine. I am a former primary school teacher, now stay at home mum, raising my two daughters, S (3.9yrs) and A (13mths).

How are you finding being housebound so far?

Obviously there have been some challenging days but on the whole we have had a great time adapting to a more simple, slow pace of life.

Do you have any tips for other parents?

Routine, routine, routine!!
And if you have a partner, make sure you set aside some time out in the day for YOU. Even if it’s 20 minutes to do a yoga routine or chat to a friend over the phone.

Has this website and community helped you?

Awesome lay out makes it really clear and easy to use.
